The head chef and the cooking team were determined to use the finest local produce. All dishes in the restaurant were created daily using fresh seasonal ingredients. Here at the Inn, you found a very wide range of simple but sophisticated food with lots of flavors. There were many different menu types, this includes A La Carte, bar meals, and the daily specials. Menus in the restaurant changed with the seasons. The restaurant also featured Sunday lunch. The purpose of this menu was to offer customers a relaxing Sunday. The food was served from 12-3:30.
The high-quality food at the restaurant had many people talking. The bar menu at the Inn consisted of Aberdeen Angus burger, Beer Battered Fish and Chips, and Steak and Ale Pie. The Inn also showcased a vegetarian menu of main courses as well. These included Mac and Cheese, Slow Cooked Yolk, and Roasted Winter Vegetables. There was also a “Taste of Hampshire” menu. This was a six-course sampling of Hampshire Produce. The food items on this menu included black truffles, a salad of new season beetroot, Chalk Stream trout, BBQ Hampshire hog, Longparish Plums and Almond, and chocolate pave. Desserts offered at the Inn include Plum and Almond, Cambridge Burnt Cream, Chocolate Pave, Mandarin Bavois, Ice cream, and many kinds of British cheeses.
The Plough Inn also offers a children’s menu. The children’s menu at the Inn consisted of beer burger, Cumberland sausages, macaroni and cheese, battered fish fingers. Sides for the children’s menu included mashed potatoes, chips, and new potatoes. Vegetables included garden peas, baked beans, carrots, and salad leaves. The dessert menu for children includes ice cream, puddings, and marshmallows.
